TURIST SITES OF BOSA

Bosa is the seventh locality of Bogotá. It has five UPZ. The most important turist sites od this locality are:

The Foundational Plaza of Bosa or Bosa Main Park.

The Foundational Plaza of Bosa, around which there are still buildings of Colonial architecture, perhaps the oldest in Bogotá, which retain their original design, without restoration.








The Tibanica Wetland

The Colombian Wetland of Tibanica is located between the town of Bosa in Bogotá and shared with Soacha. It has an área of 28.8 hectares and it is located in one of the driest áreas of the city.













          

The Bosa Public Library
This library is visited monthly by 8,000 people on average, between early chilhood, children, Young people, adults, elderly people, pregnant mothers, people with disabilities and belonging to indigenous communities.








The Church of San Bernardino

This church began to be built in the year  1618, and was recently declared a National Monument  by the Colombian goverment. It is located in the central park of Bosa. In front of the church there is a rough stone cross where marks the exact place where the three conquistadors met (G.Jiménez de Quesada, S.de Belalcázar and N.de Federmán).
